I have had a lifelong love affair with pottery, but it was not until I moved to the Eastern Shore of Maryland that I had the opportunity to try making my own pots.
My first class was with a very gifted instructor, Karen Bearman, at the Dorchester Center for the Arts. I discovered that this was something I could do! I love making pieces that are not only functional but beautiful. I truly enjoy the drama of opening the kiln after a glaze firing to see what new surprises it holds.
My pottery has been displayed at the Main Street Gallery and the Dorchester Center for the Arts in Cambridge, Maryland, as well as the Art Institute and Gallery in Salisbury, Maryland.
I am a member of the Wednesday Morning Artists and the Clay Guild of the Eastern Shore.
